Back to reality

Well, my vacation is over for this time. Only 2 weeks, but I still feel relaxed! Probably cuz I've actually been doing things instead of staying home - idling in front of the computer / tv.
The last week was spent at my sisters place which was awesome! We watched alot of movies like Slumdog Millionaire, A shopoholics confession and Seven Pounds, but we also got some shopping done. Got myself a new jacket, so now I'm ready for this autumn ^^

It kinda feels like the summer is already over, and I didn't get to enjoy it. Mostly due to working crazy hours, but the weather have not been very good either. Atleast I got lucky with my first week in June. Back then it was like 30 degrees every day for 2 weeks.
Oh well, maybe September won't be so bad. We'll see.

The next milestone I'm looking forward to now is moving to the new apartment in October. And also, I'm about to become an uncle around the same time! :)
This winter really does look promising!

Norrköping

Norrköping was great!! Really really awesome!
We were 8 ppl there, having a good time, eating good food and socializing. Sometime around 23 foodfights broke loose, leaving the place looking like shit. ^^ There were potatogratin, garlic and water everywher >_<
After a while the war transformed into some kind of love orgie with ppl hugging and making out everywhere, although thats pretty normal on a party ^^ Atleast the hugging part.

The night ended around 4... I think. Or well, the last thing I'm sure of was me ordering water at some pub in Norrköping around 01.
After that I mostly have fragments of frustrated ppl trying to scrape potatogratin from the walls. ^^

The headache next morning was not so pleasant but totally worth it =)

1 week

I've not done much this week. Done some housecleaning etc, but except that I've mostly been watching series. I'm not playing wow anymore. Totally grown tired of the game, so now I'm sitting here with a ton of time on my hands and don't know what to spend it on... Pretty pathetic really :/
I've been thinking that I should study some programming again, push my career forward somehow, but its easier said than done. I need to find that spark again. Maybe next week...

Today however I'm going to a birthday party in Norrköping. A girl I know is turning 20 so I'm psyched :) Hoping for a lot of fun!

Yesterday me and P went to sthlm C to grab a bite to eat. We ended up buying Resistance 2 for the ps3 system and some beer and then went back to my place. Played the entire evening and a couple of hours today ^^. Really fun game to play online! Just...massive!

Vacation!

Well, my vacation have officially started!!! :D
2 weeks of relaxation awaits. Too bad I don't live in my new apartment yet so that I could sit on the balcony and enjoy the nice weather etc. Still 1.5 months to go.

I don't really have much planned ahead. Just a couple of things:
-Next weekend I'm going to Norrköping for a birthday party.
-Next week some friends I've made in WoW will visit town, so I'm gonna grab a beer with them :)

- Oh, and the 28th of august US Stockholm (USS) is going to Gröna Lund, so I'll probably join.

Except from that, I have no plans whatsoever.
I'll probably travel north and visit my sister. :) We'll see.

G.I. Joe review

Last night I went to the cinemas and watched G.I. Joe.
I've heard so much negativity around this movie, and tbh I don't know why. I enjoyed the movie! :D But then again, I like "superhero" movies.
"The Joes" must stop a terrororganization called "The cobras" whom are planning on taking over the world (obviously). They have developed a new kind of weapon - nanomachines that can be controlled. Its main purpose is to destroy metal, hence taking out cities. (check the trailer below for the scene with the Eiffel tower!)

In the end you have a movie with:
- a superhero, trying to win back his girl (true love conquers all?)
- Good vs Evil
- Really cool action scenes and special effects.
- Ninjas!!!
- Women actresses playing as tough chicks and also sexsymbols.

Basically all you can expect from a classic superhero movie :D Me like! Also some good humor in the movie as well.

(yes, this is one of my favorite genres.)

Disney = lazy!

When I went to university and studied programming, I learned fast to use the same code over and over again. You get lazy, cba typing all those scripts for every little program you do. Or maybe lazy isn't the correct word here. Lets say efficient instead :)

Anyway, I kinda got upset when I saw this clip. I've always loved Disney, but now I feel somewhat disappointed. Don't really know why ^^ Its efficient using already made templates.. but for use in movies? We're talking about visual effects here, not background code which is invisible for the user.

Ugh

Sometimes I hate going from night to dayshifts... Especially this week since I only got 2 days between. It was my own fault tho, but a colleague was desperate so I took his shift.

Anyway, I figured that the best way would be to stay up the entire Saturday.
So instead of going to bed around 9am, I was up 26 hours until 7pm. Then I slept for 14 hours and woke up around 9am the next day.

Tonight I got complete insomnia, impossible to sleep. It ended with me falling asleep around 03am, smashing the alarm at 5am and waking up 06:40... I arrived 1 hour late for work :(
Bob better enjoy his vacation, cuz I'm sure not doing this shit again!

Sad panda

I'm at work, doing nightshift 2/4. A bit sad tonight actually. Tomorrow, a huge yearly gathering of visually impaired youth will take place up in Skellefteå. There will be like 50 participates there from 6th - 9th of august. A lot of my friends, including people from Oslo will be there... and here I am, stuck at work =(
Stupid fucked up vacation! Would be awesome to be there, meeting old and new friends....

By the way. Did you know that Braille (punktskrift) celebrates 200 years this year? You didn't? Well, now you do! :p

Summer

I always get amazed each time I arrive back at Leksand. The calm and peace found here are just so overwhelming. Last night, me and my family sat outside having a really good time. We drank wine, listened to Lenoard Cohen and mom lit candle's and stuff. Dad even mounted a infraheat radiator.

Just sitting there with my eyes closed, Nemo in my lap and our dog sleeping at my feet... That calm can't be described in words! Heaven on earth?

Seems like the summmer is on its way back. Today it looks like its gonna be even hotter than yesterday. Abit too hot for me tbh, but I can't complain really. I can always go for a swim if needed :)
